I began collecting postcards in mid-August of 2013, after looking through my aunt's collection and thinking it seemed like a fun hobby. Along the way, something obviously went very wrong.

Species: Whooping Crane

Card Text Back: Adult and immature Whooping Cranes - A young whooping crane searches for food as the parent bird looks out for danger. Young cranes gradually lose their rusty color and take on adult plumage after their first year. The only known whoopers to exist in the wild spend their winters on the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge near Austwell, Texas.
