Card Text Front: N/A
Card Text Back: Porcupine Erehizon epixanthus - Sharp porcupine quills can be very painful to an attacking predator. Most of the quills are on the top of the back and tail and can be raised at will. Some of them are 5 inches long on some animals. Quills on the front are shorter and do not show when the animal is calm, such as the young one in this picture.
