I began collecting postcards in mid-August of 2013, after looking through my aunt's collection and thinking it seemed like a fun hobby. Along the way, something obviously went very wrong.

Card Text Back: Takahe, N.Z. - Discovered in 1840 by Dr. Gideon Manteff. The skin is preserved in the British Museum. A second specimen was caught in 1851. Now in the Dominion Museum, Wellington. Now extinct.
