I began collecting postcards in mid-August of 2013, after looking through my aunt's collection and thinking it seemed like a fun hobby. Along the way, something obviously went very wrong.

Species: American Alligator

Card Text Back: Louisiana Alligator - This mighty reptile of the swamps and rivers along the Gulf of Mexico was once common. So many were killed for sport and for their excellent hides that they are now protected in Louisiana. Males grow to 12 feet, weigh between 450 and 500 pounds. Adult males can be heard bellowing loudly in Louisiana rivers and bayous.
